Collection: Henri Miller
Henri Miller is a contemporary mixed media artist who takes his material from popular culture and travel. Born in France, he went on to live and study Fine Art in Berlin in the 1990s. Captivated by the city’s nightlife and culture, he immersed himself in the underground art scene, creating shows inspired by music, politics and photography.
Spending time travelling and working in the cities of Europe, Miller absorbed a wide range of influences. His frame of cultural reference expanded, ranging from the renaissance rooms at the Uffizi to the explosion of street art in Amsterdam, Berlin and London and he began to develop a distinctive personal style. Outside the cities, a three-month stint in the vineyards of Épernay provided the impetus for his most recent collection of work celebrating the world’s most iconic Champagne brands.
Miller is best known for his energetic use of colour and the differing techniques he uses to create his vision. His creative process begins with an emotional response to his immediate environment, and he then turns his vision into a reality using a combination of digital expression with hand-drawn and hand-coloured elements using a wide variety of materials to create a unique effect.
Miller’s recent works explore the possibilities of working with aluminium and resin and have been featured in exclusive art spaces and events across Europe.
